This is an excerpt from an article called "Dining Room Art" at Jellypress.com Nancy Gail Ring, “Dining Room,” oil on paper, 2010 I’ve been painting studies on paper of my dining room in preparation for a new series I will start soon on canvas. Here are two done at night. I’ve lived in this house for seven and a half years and there’s been a lot of life lived and a lot of meals served in this room. So many families have lived here; it’s an old house, built in 1926. The room remains virtually the same while families pass through it, eat here, change and grow here, arrive and depart.
